CURBSIDE COLLECTION & REMOVAL OF REFUSE, TRASH & GARBAGE:
The following schedule is in effect for all dwelling units, including condominiums and apartments, within the Borough of Bradley Beach. Collections are performed on designated days between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Main Street. No pickup on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. For all such holidays, collection will occur on the next regularly scheduled day for that route.
MAIN ST. – Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays
LAKE TER. LaREINE AVE. – Mondays and Thursdays
BRINLEY TO FOURTH AVES. – Tuesdays and Fridays
THIRD AVE TO BRADLEY BLVD. – Wednesdays and Saturdays
STREET SWEEPING:
The following schedule is in effect from April 15th to November 1st. During months with five weeks, only Main Street and Ocean Avenue will be swept. During inclement weather, routes will be done on the next scheduled day.
OCEAN AVE. & MAIN ST. – Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 4:00 AM to 7:00 AM
THE NORTH SIDE OF ALL STREETS – Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the Month
THE SOUTH SIDE OF ALL STREETS – Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the Month
THE WEST SIDE OF ALL STREETS – Every 1st and 3rd Monday of the Month
THE EAST SIDE OF ALL STREETS – Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the Month
BRUSH, SHRUBS AND YARD WASTE:
Brush and shrubs will be picked up on the first Monday of the month from March through September. Brush and shrubs not more than eight (8) inches in diameter and not in excess of ten (10) feet in length, securely tied in bundles between the curb and sidewalk. Bundles may be tied with string or rope (Wire ties are not permitted). Do not put out brush more than 24 hours before pick up.
No brush, shrubs or yard waste pick up October 1st through February 28th.
The Department of Public works will only pick up during this time in the event of a major storm or safety concerns.
GRASS:
Grass is the responsibility of the resident to dispose of it. TIP: Mulch it.
LEAF PICKUP:
Leaves may be placed loose at the curb or in an open container for collection (No closer than ten (10) feet from a storm drain) April 1st to May 31st & September 15th to December 15th.
ALL commercial contractors are prohibited from disposing any debris at the Borough Public Works Yard.
ALL commercial contractors shall immediately remove all yard waste, shrubs and brush from the job site.
BULK PICKUP:
Bulk items are picked up at curbside on regular trash days. Bulk pickup stickers may be purchased at Borough Hall. NOTE: ABSOLUTELY NO BUILDING MATERIALS WILL BE ACCEPTED. ALL REFRIGERATION ITEMS MUST BE FREE OF FREON.
HAZARDOUS WASTE MATERIALS:
Must be dropped off at Monmouth County’s Permanent Household Waste Facility, located on Shafto Road, in Tinton Falls. The following items are accepted: Motor Oil, Antifreeze, Batteries, Gasoline, Pesticides, Fertilizers, Herbicides, Paints, Solvents, Thinners, Varnishes, Pool Chemicals, Propane Barbecue Tanks, Cleaners. (Materials must be in marked containers with original labels.) Maximum Amount: 200 lbs. of dry material / 20 gallons of liquid (no container larger than 5 gallons) per visit.
